In the meantime, I finished more pictures for the Schoolism Faery workout:
Day 3: The Tuft
This creature is covered with leaves and moss. So it creeps well camouflaged through the forest. Its eyes are sensitive to light and its ears are huge, so that it can perceive even the softest rustle of leaves.
Day 4: Faery Critter
This time we painted a funny little fairy creature, which reminds me of my young cat with its cheeky and cheerful personality.
Day 5: Nokka Troll
This time I chose a slightly different color scheme than Iris. I was in the mood for blue, so I decided to paint a night troll sniffing through the night with his big nose.
Day 6: Hedge Witch
In the previous images, I had trouble maintaining my original sketch when I worked over it with lots of water. In this workout, Iris showed how to fix the graphite. So I sprayed my sketch with a good amount of water and let it dry before going over it with watercolor. As you can see, it worked very well and I didn't have to use a colored pencil to add the details back in.
I'm looking forward to drawing the next creatures now.
As always, I thank Iris for the sketches provided and the motivational videos (only visible with a corresponding subscription) on Schoolism.
